Preparing for the Christmas Season
The needles of pine and fir trees do not die each season like the leaves of most trees, the ancient saw them as symbols of things that last forever. In Isaiah 9:2,6,9 tells us that there will be no end to the reign of the Messiah, so we hang a wreath of evergreens shaped in a circle, which itself has no end, signifying the eternal kingdom of Jesus, the Christ. The day and time to decorate will be announced later. Poinsettias We need poinsettia for decorating our sanctuary. If you want to donate a plant in memory or honor of someone, please email the church office. The cost per plant will be $12.00.
If you would like to order a poinsettia at $12.00 each in memory of Or Recognition of someone, please click the link below and then make a Check Payable: Trinity UMC, Huxley, then mail to the church. Poinsettias will be ordered on December 1 so we can guarantee we get all we need.
